Curado BFS
The size doesn’t show. How does it compare to the 70 series size wise?

Comparing rod limberness
Tom these are identical blanks but the custom builders are different as well as the guides are different.
-
Comparing rod limberness
That might be fool proof to you but I am not sure how to tell the difference when they are both built on the same blank from different builders.

Why is Shimano allergic to Limited Edition reels with color?
I can’t answer the question but am glad that they are because I am also.

Comparing rod limberness
If you had two rods the same length and supposed to have the same specs, how would you check to see which is the more limber?

10 foot clear lake
We’ve been doing well on smallmouth in gin clear Beaver lake. Ned rigs and swim baits have been the best fished with fluorocarbon making long casts in front of the boat.

Wind watching question
I check the wind direction and speed every day. Depending on the lake I am going to it has an effect on where I launch as well as where I start looking for fish. Three days from the same direction often sets up the food chain, algae, zooplankton, shad, foraging game fish.

Tip top guide replacement
You should be able to gently heat it with a candle and remove it. Get a replacement and install it. Don’t use epoxy or super glue.

Accidental colors
Yes, I put some Zinkerzs dirt in with the deal and forgot about them. Later I had what I called the dirty deal.

Length of the Average Fishing Trip
6-7 hours is about all I can handle on the water these days. Of course it takes an hour to an hour and a half drive time each way.

do you carry a pocket knife daily?
I carry a Uncle Henry Stockman and a Swiss Army any time I have pockets. There are more in the truck and boat. One can’t have too many knives.

Pouring soft plastics inside the house?
It probably isn’t a good idea. I did it in the house once. That definitely wasn’t a good idea.

What's the max depth you'll fish normally?
Me too. Spots can be 60’+ in the winter and 40’+ in the summer on Table Rock Lake here in MO. Today we found 57 post spawn smallmouth in 5-15 fow down on Beaver Lake in northern AR.

Neko vs Shaky vs Wacky vs Ned vs Free rig vs ...
I for sure did yesterday. I never had a bite on Ned but boated 11 on a shaky.

Neko vs Shaky vs Wacky vs Ned vs Free rig vs ...
Some of that may be regional. I fish highland reservoirs that range from 100-200 feet deep. The Ned is a seasonal go to for me. The shaky is a year round and always tied on a couple of setups. I’ve never caught a fish on wacky and my partner who sometimes uses it hasn’t either. The others I have not used.

Braid memory??
I spray braid with KVD conditioner. It softens it and makes it quieter.
