If Zoom still had the WEC balsa line, I'd say Zoom.  They don't, so I'd go Berkley.

Zoom if I gotta go with factory baits, but I prefer the baits I make for the most part.

Strike King.  

I wish people understood the difference between a lure brand and a lure company.

I'm really surprised, I was expecting a lot of Megabass and Lucky Craft and other high-zoot brands/manufacturers in these responses. 

 

My favorite would be Pradco because I like the sentimental brands like Arbogast and Heddon, plus I've had a lot of favorite lures from Bomber, Bandit and Booyah. 

Question was what is your favorite, not who makes the most different.  At least that’s the way I read it.  For me, no big surprise, Yamamoto but not for the reason you would think.  I am a finesse and plastics fisherman first and foremost.  Yamamoto makes every style of plastic that I could ever use and they do it well.  Obviously, they don’t make hard baits but for the majority of my fishing I would still buy Yamamoto even if I wasn’t on pro staff.  

KGB Swimbaits

 

It's a rush trying to buy them, and it's a even bigger rush fishing with them.  They do everything perfect as a business, they're the American dream....dude was fireman who made baits in his basement, now he's running a small business, employing a number of people, and making some of the greatest big swimbaits on the market.  Hard not to love a company like that.

This is kind of like asking; What's your favorite bait?  In my case, that's a jig and if I were forced to choose one brand it'd likely be SiebertOutdoors. Of course, I always have some sort of trailer on my jigs and RageTails by StrikeKing win that one hands down.

Strike King hands down. Has caught 90% of my fish over 5#

at the present time for soft plastics i’d probably say yum.  soft plastics that they make are affordable and they flat out work.  this year i discovered the spine craw and i’m half tempted to throw every other craw/creature bait in the dumpster.  i know have the one craw to rule them all 4 differnt colors gp blue flake, GP hayes, cali 420 and black and blue flake. 

 

for cranks it would probably in  be a toss up between spro, strike king and , norman.  spro’s a little higher end but, works.  strike king is kinda in the middle and norman falls into the affordable catogory

It would be Strike King for me, as well. I can still do all of the techniques I throw now within their brand offerings, so I wouldn't have to change how I fish.

 

Now if Zoom offered hard baits......

So the question is if I had to choose one brand to use for the rest of my life, what would it be.

 

For me it is Strike King or Berkley due to the variety of offerings they both have.

 

Just a couple years ago it would have been Strike king due to their hard and soft bait offerings, but they don't make hooks.

 

With Berkley's recent additions of fusion hooks and items like the slobberknocker and jigs,it would have to be Berkley since they now offer products in pretty much every category.

Megabass, cover about everything I do, having great spinner baits kind of put them over the top.

Duo Realis is way up there though for jerkbaits and topwater

Duo is probably my favorite.  Ive never been disappointed in a Duo product.  They dont try to cut corners and still manage to offer high quality baits at a mid or slightly higher than mid range price.  They also make baits for everything from tiny mountain stream trout to pelagic big game.  I do wish the baits were a little more available.  They also stand by their product as well.  If you have a problem, they will address it and make it right.

Soft plastic - Zoom....until they ban non-biodegradable soft plastics and then I will switch if they don't evolve

 

Hardbaits - Rebel. Maybe one day I will get to visit the Whitwolf Rebel museum  

Just one? This is tough. I understand why some people have certain brands due to all that they make. Part of me wants to say Zoom. As they make soft plastics that work all year and aren't to expensive. Another part of me wants to say Mepp's because they catch all kinds of species of fish and are simple and durable. Then another wants to say Rapala. Make all kinds of lures that also catch all kinds of fish.

 

I just can't pick one.

 

Googan Baits 

If I could only use one brand to cover everything it would be Strike King.

 

If I could pick one for hardbaits and one for softbaits it would be Lucky Craft and Zoom.

 

 

Right now it would be 6th sense. The Provoke got me hooked, along with their crazy sales on their site. It seems like every hard bait I get from them catches fish. Haven't tried their plastics, but they have styles similar to what I already use. A couple of years ago it would have been Strike King because of the RES, spinnerbaits, and Rage plastics, but it has shifted.

 

For spinnerbaits though it is CMD Baitworks, the ones I make myself from frames I purchased. The name is only for when I gift them at Christmas:)

I like most everything made by Keitech, Gary Yamamoto, and Dirty Jigs. There isn't a "bad" product among them. They aren't the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. 

 

In terms of premium hardbait brands I've liked everything I've bought made by DuoRealis. 

 

I would have a lot of confidence with any Rapala hard bait. None of them are novel, but they all work and aren't insanely expensive. I'd put Zoom in the same category for soft plastics. Reaction Innovations is another soft plastic company where everything they make I like. 

 

Overall if I could only use one brand for everything I'd go with Strike King since they make virtually everything. I like their stuff more than Berkley. Some of Berkley's products are straight up bad, in my opinion, whereas every Strike King product is at least good. 

 

If we are talking hooks I'd go with Owner. 

No way I can name a single company.  I like old Lucky Craft, GYCB, Rage, Siebert jigs and spinnerbaits, Stanley spinnerbaits, Jackall, Owner, and a few others that escape me.  I trust all of these companies, and if they offer something that is to my liking, I'll try it.
