i work in heavy construction, so i have developed a habit to have a knife on me at all times.   i am supervising now, so more desk time, less field time, but the habit has been established.  now, i seem to cut food more.  :D

so unless i flew somewhere with only carry on baggage, or i am in a court house..i have some knife with me.

these days, it is usually a multo-tool.

I have more money in knives than I care to admit.  I carry one to two daily.

I carry a Uncle Henry Stockman and a Swiss Army any time I have pockets.  There are more in the truck and boat.  One can’t have too many knives.

I have a small Swiss army knife but I work in a federal facility so it cannot go with me there.  I keep a leather man multi tool in the truck, in the boat, etc.

I carry one of these on my key chain (car), and also have one just a bit larger the center console.

Fun story: I used to take this pocket knife off my key-chain when flying. But a few years back read that blades could be under 2.36 inches were allowed.

In February of this year I passed through TSA with this knife in my backpack on the key-chain, and another in my diddly-bag. Wife and I do not check bags...it's all carry-on for us. No issues getting through TSA. Flew to Costa Rica.

Boarded plane in Costa Rica to come back to USA with same two pocket knives in my possession. Again, no issues with TSA.

Return to Houston, and make it through customs...then have to walk through TSA security check again to board connecting flight home. And I get flagged for inspection.

TSA agent scolds me and says, "You can't have this in your possession."

I looked her dead in the face and said, "Well, then how did I get on a plane in the states, fly to Costa Rica? And then board a plane in Costa Rica and fly here with those in my possession?"

She growled, then asked if I wanted to check my two small pocket knives, or surrender them to the TSA for disposal.

Throw them away...

Got through TSA, got on Amazon, and ordered up a new swiss army knife...it was at the house two days later.

Yup, same little one Daubs shows.

Can’t take it with you on planes, already had to sacrifice 2 of them.

I always have at least 3 blades on me. First is a Leatherman OG that I've had forever (left front pocket with my keys), second is a locking knife with a 1.5" blade (right front pocket with nail clippers, 6' tape measure, box of Altoids smalls, loose change), last one is a razor-knife (right cargo pocket with notebook, pen and pencil).

That’s the one I have too.

I am a redneck so of course I always have a pocketknife on me. I carry a Kershaw assisted folder with 3 inch blade.

Before I “retired” it was a Kershaw. Now that I generally wear shorts 364 days of the year, I don’t EDC a pocketknife. However, one is always within reach. I found a small unopened smith and Wesson folder in the parking lot of academy one night. I play with it while driving flicking it open and shut. I’m surprised I haven’t cut off a finger yet. I have one on my pfd and another kicking around in my pod on my kayak. I’m also a woodworker by hobby and learned how to free hand sharpen all of my chisels and plane blades and that led to learning to sharpen double bevels. As much as I hate sharpening, it is cathartic and satisfying.

I used to always carry a pocket knife, but I have a terrible habit of losing them. Last Christmas my dad gave me his old Buck folding knife. It's big and bulky, and has to be carried in a belt pouch, but I've carried that more faithfully and never lost it since. I think having it on my belt is handier than keeping one in my pocket. I carry and use it everyday.

I normally carry 2 knives, a pocket knife and a belt knife. For about 5 years, I carried this Case Jumbo Stockman for my pocket knife.

A friend recently gave me this blue version, and I've been training it.

The belt knife is normally this Case Folding Hunter

But sometimes is this Buck 192 Vanguard, my favorite.

I also carry a Leatherman PST original daily.

I used to be a Benchmade only guy on account of the Axis lock.  But, now that Spyderco has a quality ambidextrous lock I carry more of those.

My father - a journeyman electrician - has always carried a Swiss Army knife.  And to this day, he cannot understand why I don't.  I'm in technology. LOL

Yes, one of the dozens of pocket knives. Usually a Benchmade Immunity.
