Are you the same Jmurphy87 who tried convincing us (as well you yourself and your lady) last year that you were done buying? 😅

It’s a very slippery slope sort of like the sidewalks that I was walking on today.

They said that we were supposed to get a winter storm today here, I never believe the forecast. I don’t really call 3-6 inches of snow anything really. When I use to live at my grandparents old place when I was 18, dead smack in the middle between kalkaska and grayling. 17 miles to town no matter what way you wanted to go. We use to get 14-16 inches overnight and nothing closed and life went on like normal, down here they would close everything down and declare an emergency if that happened lol. The winter has been very odd this year here, but there’s still time.
Super User PhishLI Posted January 13 Super User Share Posted January 13 Just some maintenance items and a few baits. Stupid pickerel keep swiping my Frittside 5s and the only hooks I can use around here for Neds. One day I'll smarten up and listen to @A-Jay and pick up some Surflon tie-able metal leader instead of praying each time I get a bite this time of year: "Please God, don't let it be a pickerel", then it is, then doink, then seeya later bait. Super User AlabamaSpothunter Posted January 13 Super User Share Posted January 13 "Heavy Poop" and folks can't buy it fast enough 🤣  Fish Arrow makes some really cool stuff, they got some small swimbaits that I wanted when I recently bought those Drift Fry, but like the Drift Fry they are high dollar stuff.

These Flash-J Shads with the flashy mylar film insert are nifty. After my prized Nories Spoon Tail Shads were discontinued I found these. Seems to be made at the same vendor. Telltale injection ports. Great night bait. May be the shiz for FFS too. Â

MFer#^&*$#@*%^!  I recently got that Rattle Snaker. That's gonna make it sooo much easier getting worm rattles deep into any plastic, especially the elaztech.

Super User AlabamaSpothunter Posted January 13 Super User Share Posted January 13 Yep those are them, loved the mylar insert, and eyes.    I have no shame in admitting, if I can buy Japanese, I do for the most part.  Stuff is usually always worth the extra money.
KP Duty
Escaped Black Friday and all of December without a tackle purchase. Then I saw the Techna PX 6' Medium spinning rods marked down to $79 ( from $199). So I ordeted one. Was so impressed with its light and crispy blank, I ordered another. These are 1/8-3/4oz XF tapered mediums, so definitely Jig/Worm rods. First Fenwicks as well.

So much nicer than punching a hole in elaztech with an awl then fighting the rattle in, then glueing the hole shut. Gonna try it in some plastisol baits for sure.

I had the 6'8 M casting model but my friend loved it so much I ended up selling it to him. I kind of regret it. I also really like the classic, almost vintage look of them. MFer#^&*$#@*%^! Got a little news for ya my friend ~ I still lose baits. Even after all this time I still haven't developed the self-discipline to rarely 'start' the trip with the wire.  Always ends up being reactionary. So I know this term MFer#^&*$#@*%^! quite well. Bass Rutten
Quick bps pit stop mini-haul; Rapala rocco, thunder cricket, and a nice find with some mustad alpha point size 1 straight shank finesse hooks. First time seeing these, 5-pack for $4.99, they ooze quality with a sealed eye and a great bent metal keeper, silly sticky sharp, and great package concept with a neat slide out insert, quick and easy in and out. Finesse nerds will want to check these out. I'll be using these for weedless dropshot fer shure.
