I will add that I’ve fished it 3 times since I left my initial review. Now I’m in the same boat as you, I want another one!

I've always been a fan of rebel lures, especially for their versatility in small creeks and rivers. I saw these at my local Meijer (large grocery store similar to Walmart, for those not familiar the Midwest). Can't wait to try these out. (I already know the Wee-Craw works wonders.)

TW 4th of July sale. The new TW Black Blue color is probably my new favorite. I hate that it's TW exclusive since I'm used to getting Jackhammer's around $11-$12 other places. But TW doesn't run many sales like that, so I took advantage of the 15% off and got 5 more. Never fished these Hag's baits but figured I'd try them out. I thought they looked a little familiar. Turns out they look a lot like one of the Googan baits.

Tried these out on the river this morning. They get bites, but every fish I hooked came off. I'm guessing this was due to the barbless hooks. Had five hits within an hour or so, hooked into three very nice fish (including what was either a solid pike or a legendary river smallie) and lost all of them on leaps or headshakes. Gonna replace all the trebles and try them again. It was either the hooks, or I just had a trash luck this morning.

I've found that you can't let up on a fish for a second with barbless. It's much more of a challenge. My hat's off to the people that can handle it.

 

I've got one of those cranks, the blue one, and I found I had to stick some lead to the base of it to get it to swim decent.
