Heart skipped a beat when I saw these on my way to the lake. I have a whole new respect for them after a couple were RIP'd courtesy of my grill at 50 mph and put my truck out of commission for nearly a month while waiting for parts.

@NorcalBassin judging by the white tips of their fans I’m guessing they’re Merriam turkeys. That bird is on my bucket list. Cool looking birds with those tips.

I'd like to hunt a Merriams too.  The nearest population is in the Black Hills of SD from here.

Is this a selfie?!!!  That's a pro-level selfie!  If I took that you'd see my chin and your hand and that's about it.

@ATA The easy part of the job - a lot of rework ahead. 40 years in Avionics with 3 years overhauling H-65s for the Coast Guard. USN Retired.

Yup, The hard part is ahead, I have done it for 8 times nose to tail, Will send updated pictures.

The good thing is that plane not going to fly again :) so just need to power them up.

This alarm clock doesn’t have a snooze button. There are only two times this cat will meow, when he’s hungry and when he wants his pets (us) to wake up. Once you’re awake, he’s fine. 😡

At a high rate of speed would be my guess.  Probably trying to jump that big mound of dirt to fish the ditch behind it. 😂

Last summer I posted about a couple of hostas that the rabbits were slowly destroying down to the root.  Wouldn't you know it, they have grown back to life with all the rain we have received here this spring.

I can't bring myself to shoot our freeloading Fox Squirrels. Too big, pretty, and rare, so we share the garden. Grey Squirrels on the other hand receive no such mercy.
