I'll be casting before sunrise each day.  Rare to see a wake boat or jetski before around 1030 or 11.

If I fish this weekend, it will be very early in the morning( sunup) for an hour or two. I'll go home before the party crowd shows up.

  • Nope.  I don’t like crowds or idiots and there will be lots of both.

I'm going, hopefully all 3 days. Some other idiot isn't keeping this idiot off the water. Plus, I'll go b4 sun rise and be off before most shake last nights hangover

If I go it'll be to my hunting club beaver pond. I don't fish public waters on weekends and definitely not holidays.

I have only been out once this year, so yes i plan on going twice. Once with mrs. detroit, and once with my best bud. I will deal with the madness...:cool-045:

I'll be on the lake before sunrise Saturday and Sunday.  I've been doing that since the weather got warm.  There usually isn't many wake boats or jet skis before 11 or so.  They usually aren't drunk before 1 or 2.  I usually leave sometime between 11 and 2.   I've got to work Monday.

I don't fish on weekends now. I certainly won't fish on any holiday weekend.

I think its supposed to be raining here but I will be out regardless at least for a few hours before everyone comes out! I havent tried bass fishing in the rain so I'm excited to see how that turns out

Im wanting to even though the lake I go to will be crazy busy. The weather is finally turning around here after close to a week of rain and 20+mph gust off and on. My ex-boss is wanting to go to a lake further away but is non-motorized only, no PWC or boats to worry about.

Yeah,  this is my first Memorial Day of my retirement.   It’s pretty cool knowing that the Memorial Day weekend last till Labor Day and beyond.  ?

If I can get a little getting post thid past the covid cloud,

I'll spend the weekend on the honey do list & bait & rig prep,

Should set me up for a mid day week tripor t wto.

Don't expect any plus size bass, most fun sized and numbers.

But it will cerainly feel food to get out  and get mys tring pulled a time or two

Just might need to tolerate a new baot lauch And recovey process that might not the the book too, backing in and recover a launch at any given ramp accsess.

Took the words right out of my mouth

Weather looks iffy for the weekend here in detroit lakes , fergus falls Minn area.

Fishing the ottertail river below the dam there are no boats to deal with, only bank busters.

If i go it will be monday at noon and stay till 10:30 pm as usual to catch the late walleye bite. Or wait till tuesday but i sure hate sittin around home on a holiday. Answer, undecided as of now.

Absolutely, my boat is already docked at the family house on our private lake for the weekend and I plan on doing multiple morning and evening outings (to avoid recreational boat traffic mid day) BBQ planned for Monday so I probably will be off the bigger water. Maybe I'll hit up a pond or two if it's not busy during the day time.

Ummm, NOPE!!!!

Was out last Saturday and didn’t enjoy it.. was on the water by 6ish .. was ok til about 10:30 , than stated to get crowded and a lot of idiots. .. I usually never take the yak out on weekends and was reminded why… not much choice anymore… if I go out it will be from the bank locally.

I'm going to be fishing some ponds this weekend.  I'm going to stay away from any body of water large enough to launch a boat on.

aint fishing this morning now. Woke up and checked radar, no good. So much for wakin up at 4:30 to try and catch the shad spawn.

Any fishing I do this weekend will be at ponds or small lakes. Weather is too nice for the larger popular lakes not to be absolutely packed.

Rain? No problem. I had my rain gear laid out ready to go.

Storms with high potential for some crazy gusts? Problem

I'll wait. I just didn't want to show up just to get stormed out within an hour. No fun.

Nope.

Friday is a bad weather day.

Saturday is our American Legion Poppy Drive day.

Sunday is watch SEC tournament day.

Sunday. Weekday work and Saturday obligations keeping me off this week. Eyeing a little used launch, then WAY down river to try and avoid the crowd.

ugh.  50% rain tomorrow.  I already took rain jacket out of the closet.

looking at the bright side, at least the 45 minute dirt road won't be a dust breakfast.  I once put my rods in the back of the truck.  I had to dunk them all in the lake when I got there.  not smart.

By this time tomorrow the hope is for a clear beach, some cold beverages, and schools of blue fish willing to blast a plug.  Only one of those items is guaranteed.

I'll be close to some decent bass water but probably will spend most of the week chucking ounces of lead with cut bait or throwing lures if the conditions suit.  Hoping to cooler water temps keeps the masses off the beach so there is longer windows to fish.
